What we keep, and why.
No ads, no tracking cookies, no data sold. Here is everything this site keeps when you design a tile, and who else sees it.

Your designs
When you design a tile we save the design under its code: the place you searched for, where and how big the square is, how it's turned, the colors you picked and its title. We also keep a picture of the tile in 3D. We keep designs so a code keeps working when you order, or order again later.
Anyone with a design's code or link can open that design, so share it with people you choose.
Searching for a place
Place searches go through our server to OpenStreetMap's search service (Nominatim). We keep recent searches for a while so the same search answers faster.
The map you move the square on loads its pictures from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address the way any website you load something from does.
How we count visits
- We count how designs move through the designer, for example that a design reached the order step, with the design's code and a time. No name, no email.
- We use PostHog, an analytics service, to count visits and see which pages and designer steps people use. It sets no cookies: it remembers your visit only until you close the browser tab. We use no advertising services.
- The designer keeps your progress in your browser tab until you close it.
- Like most websites, our server keeps logs of requests, which include IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure.
When you order
Orders, payment and messages happen on Etsy, under Etsy's privacy policy. Etsy shares with us what we need to make and ship your tile: your name, the shipping address, the personalization you enter and your messages to us. We use them only for your order.
Who else sees data
- Etsy, for orders, payment and messages.
- OpenStreetMap, for place search and the map's pictures.
- Cloudflare, which carries this site's traffic and sees connection details such as IP addresses.
- PostHog, which counts visits for us (the pages viewed, clicks and designer steps) and sees connection details such as IP addresses.
We don't sell or rent anyone's data.
Your choices
To have a design deleted, message us on Etsy with its code. For anything about your Etsy account or orders, Etsy's own tools and support apply.
