The course
The Berlin Marathon is a loop that starts on Straße des 17. Juni in the Tiergarten and finishes just past the Brandenburg Gate. The route heads north through Moabit, past the Reichstag and east to Alexanderplatz, then south through Kreuzberg and Neukölln. It turns west through Schöneberg and Friedenau, comes back along Kurfürstendamm and passes Potsdamer Platz and Gendarmenmarkt before the last stretch down Unter den Linden. The course is flat.
