The course
The Sydney Marathon runs point to point. It starts on Miller Street in North Sydney and crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the opening miles. The route winds through Pyrmont, Barangaroo and The Rocks, then heads down Oxford Street to an out-and-back on Anzac Parade toward Kingsford and a loop of Centennial Park. It comes back past Mrs Macquarie's Chair in the Royal Botanic Garden and finishes in front of the Sydney Opera House.
