The course
The Twin Cities Marathon runs point to point from downtown Minneapolis to the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. It passes Lake of the Isles, Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet, then follows Minnehaha Parkway to Lake Nokomis at mile 13. The route turns north along the Mississippi River and crosses into St. Paul. A gradual climb on Summit Avenue starts after mile 21, and the finish runs downhill past the Cathedral of St. Paul to the Capitol.
