The campus

The Diag, the oldest part of campus, takes its name from the walks that cross it on the diagonal. The Hatcher Graduate Library stands on its south side and Angell Hall to the west, with Burton Memorial Tower and Hill Auditorium just north. The Michigan Union and the Law Quadrangle sit on South State Street. Downtown's State Street and Main Street districts fill the northwest. Michigan Stadium, the largest stadium in the United States, holds the southwest corner, with most of its seats below ground level.
