The circuit
Spa-Francorchamps is a permanent circuit in the forests of the Belgian Ardennes, at Francorchamps, about 8 km southeast of the town of Spa. The clockwise lap starts at the La Source hairpin, crosses the Eau Rouge stream and climbs Raidillon to the Kemmel Straight. It then runs through Les Combes, Pouhon and Blanchimont to the Bus Stop chicane before the pit straight. The first circuit here, in 1921, used public roads between Francorchamps, Malmedy and Stavelot.
