The course
Pacific Dunes opened in 2001 as the second course at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, just north of the town of Bandon on the Oregon coast. Tom Doak routed it through tall dunes along the Pacific, and its bunkers of native sand blend into natural blowouts. The 4th and 13th are par 4s that run along the ocean in opposite directions. The back nine has four par 3s, three par 5s and only two par 4s. Bandon Dunes, the resort's first course, lies to the south.
