The course
Pebble Beach Golf Links follows the rugged coastline of Carmel Bay on the south side of the Monterey Peninsula. Jack Neville and Douglas Grant designed it, and it opened on February 22, 1919. The 6th is the first hole that plays along the shore. The 7th is a short par 3, the 8th carries a coastal chasm, and the par-5 18th runs along Stillwater Cove. The course has hosted the U.S. Open six times, most recently in 2019, and it returns in 2027.
