The course
The London Marathon runs point to point from Greenwich to The Mall. Three start lines around Blackheath and Greenwich Park meet near mile 3 in Woolwich. The route loops around the Cutty Sark between miles 6 and 7, passes through Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, and crosses Tower Bridge near halfway. It circles the Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf, then follows the Victoria Embankment past Parliament Square and Buckingham Palace to the finish on The Mall.
