The course
The Twenty Ten Course was the first course built specifically for the Ryder Cup. Ross McMurray joined nine reworked holes from Robert Trent Jones Jr.'s Wentwood Hills course with nine new holes in the Usk valley, and it opened in 2007. Water comes into play on half the holes. The early holes have a links feel, and lakes line the middle of the round. In 2010 it hosted the first Ryder Cup in Wales, and rain pushed the final session to a Monday, a first for the event.
